Akamas Jeep Safari

In the north-west of Cyprus lies a peninsula with no towns and no villages – Akamas.

Unspoilt nature, rare plant species and breathtaking landscapes — that is Akamas today, while in ancient times it was home to a Roman city, the ruins of which still stand.

Along the way, we will explore the island’s west coast, starting with the deep Avakas Gorge, where it stays cool even in the height of summer, then stop at Lara Bay – the only place where giant green turtles come to lay their eggs.

After lunch, we will head to a marvellous grotto – the Baths of Aphrodite. It is said that this is where Adonis saw the goddess bathing and fell in love with her. Nearby, on the seashore, we will be able to cool off and swim in the crystal-clear waters of Chrysochou Bay.

Our last stop on the way back is the village of Skouli, where, for an additional fee, you can see the snakes and reptiles native to Cyprus.
