Discovering Cyprus

A wonderful opportunity to experience rural life.

The programme unfolds as follows: while travelling through the mountain villages and touring the surrounding area, the bus suddenly breaks down. After a short wait and a few failed attempts to fix it, the group is rescued by a “village bus” that “happens” to be passing by, aboard which guests will find refreshing drinks and traditional Cypriot sweets waiting as a treat.

The journey continues with a walk through the highly picturesque wine village of "Omodhos", where participants can admire the narrow streets adorned with fragrant flowers and visit the Wine Museum. Guests will also be able to visit a winery to taste wine with bread and cheese. Then, at a typical village tavern, guests will get the chance to sample traditional home cooking and watch various dishes being prepared. A home-style lunch with wine will follow.

The programme can be extended with a wine tasting at a winery, where guests will be treated to wine, cheese, bread and village olives.

Duration: approx. 6 hours

The price includes transfer, guide and lunch with 1/2 bottle of local wine per person.
