Troodos Jeep Safari

A journey into the green heart of Cyprus aboard a 4x4 Land Rover Defender.

Our journey will take us over rocky hills and through gorges, picturesque villages and pine forests, revealing the island’s most hidden corners. An exciting route to the village of Platres will bring us to beautiful waterfalls, nestled amid lush vegetation and offering cool relief even on the hottest of days.

The trip will then continue to Cyprus’s highest peak, Mount Olympus. At an altitude of 1951 metres, from the throne of the ancient gods, a panorama of the island will unfold before us.

At the next stop, in one of the mountain villages, we’ll have lunch, then head west through the village of Pedoulas and on to Kykkos Monastery. This monastery houses an icon of the Virgin Mary, painted by St Luke.

Additional stops for photographs will be made along the way. Please bear in mind that shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted when visiting churches and monasteries.

DURATION: 8am to 5pm.

MEALS: not included in the price. There will be time in one of the villages to have a snack and a cup of local coffee.

USEFUL TIP: remember that modest, covering clothing is required to visit the monastery, and don’t forget your camera.
